Six trains out of 30 faced schedule debacle which left Kamalapur railway station in the capital on the last working day before the holy Eid-ul-Azha. As the time going on the sufferings of the home bound passengers are increasing.
When asked about train schedule that left Dhaka, Station Manager of Kamalapur railway station Sitangshu Charabarty told these to Rtv online.
He said, till 2 pm total 30 trains left Kamalapur station. Of these six trains faced schedule debacle. Rajshahi bound Dhumketu Express left at 9:15 am instead of 6 am, Sundarban Express at 8:15 am instead of 6:20 am, Neelsagor Express at 11:50 am instead of 8:00 am, Rangpur Express at 1:00 pm instead of 9:00 am, Lalmoni Eid Special at 1:30 pm instead of 9:15 am and Chattrala Express at 1:35 pm instead of 1:00 pm left the Kamalapur station.
The Station Manager said, schedule debacles are occurring due to pressure of passengers. Excess time was needed for departure of the trains due to excess passengers.
