Ex-AL MP Solaiman Salim Arrested
Police arrested former Awami League lawmaker Mohammad Solaiman Selim, son of Haji Mohammad Selim. Solaiman Selim was an MP from Dhaka-7 constituency.
A team of police from Chawkbazar police station arrested him. Officer-in-charge (OC) Rezaul Hossain confirmed the matter.
He said that the former member of parliament of Dhaka-7 Constituency Solaiman Salim has been detained. There is no case against him in my police station. However, there is a case of murder in Chawkbazar police station linked to the July-August movement.
After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, Solaiman Salim went into hiding to avoid arrest. Earlier, his father Haji Salim was arrested from the Banshal area of the capital on the night of September 1.
In the last eleventh national parliament election, Haji Md Selim collected nomination forms for himself as well as his two sons for the same seat. In the end, Solaiman Salim was nominated for the seat.
