BNP’s Acting Chairperson, Tarique Rahman, has stated that Maulana Bhashani will always remain a source of inspiration in securing the rightful rights of the underprivileged, democracy, human rights, freedom, and sovereignty.

He made these remarks in a statement on Sunday (November 17), marking the 48th death anniversary of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani.

Tarique Rahman said, "Maulana Bhashani’s immense patriotism, dedication to safeguarding the interests of the nation, and his protest against the enemies of democracy and humanity will inspire us for generations. By properly following his ideals, we can achieve our desired goals."

He further remarked, "Maulana Bhashani is an unforgettable name in our national history. As a legendary figure in the struggle against imperialism, colonialism, and dominance, the 'leader of the oppressed' Maulana Bhashani provided unwavering and strong leadership for the downtrodden and oppressed people of the subcontinent, starting from the anti-British movement."

The BNP Acting Chairperson emphasized, "Maulana Bhashani will forever be remembered as a guiding light for the liberation of the motherland. In Bangladesh’s struggle for independence, democratic movements, and the fight for the rightful rights of farmers, workers, and the working class, he was a beacon of hope. His stance was always against exploitation and in favor of the exploited."

Tarique Rahman added, "He inspired the people of this country to fight for their rights with his fearless and strong leadership. His roar would shake the thrones of oppressive rulers and exploitative forces. During the nation’s darkest times, he stood firmly for public welfare, which earned him the trust and confidence of the people."

On the occasion of Maulana Bhashani’s death anniversary, Tarique Rahman paid deep respect to his memory and prayed for his departed soul’s eternal peace.
