BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman is often addressed as 'State Leader' by his party leaders and activists. He has requested not to address him in this manner from now on.
Tarique Rahman made this request while virtually joining a workshop organized by the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) in the capital on Tuesday (November 19).
He said, "From today onwards, my request to you as your leader, do not say the words 'State Leader' before my name."
Commenting that a conspiracy is going on somewhere in the country, Tarique Rahman further said, "There is a conspiracy going on somewhere in the country, people must be aware of it. We must be with them, we must keep the people with us."
Incidentally, the BNP's training committee organized this workshop on the occasion of '31-Point Outline for Structural Reforms in Bangladesh'. The closing speech of the Dhaka Division section was delivered by the acting chairman of BNP.
