9 Died of Dengue in A Single Day, 1,214 Hospitalized
In the last 24 hours, 9 people have died of dengue in the country. During this period, 1,214 patients have been admitted to the hospital. So far this year, 436 have died of dengue and 84,368 have been admitted to the hospital.
This was revealed from the information provided by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday (November 21).
The report said that 5 people have died of dengue in the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) area in the last 24 hours. In addition, 3 people died of dengue in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) during this period, and one died of dengue in Rajshahi division.
On the other hand, the highest number of dengue patients (430) have been admitted to the hospital in Dhaka division in the last 24 hours. In addition, 195 have been admitted to the hospital in DNCC and 141 in DSCC with dengue during this period. Apart from this, in the last 24 hours, 117 people in Khulna division, 94 in Chattogram division, 9 in Rajshahi division, 82 in Barishal division, 39 in Mymensingh division, 14 in Rangpur division 11 in Sylhet division have been admitted to hospitals due to dengue.
The Directorate General of Health Services said that a total of 436 people have died of dengue from the first day of this year to November 21. During this period, 84,368 people have been admitted to hospitals due to the mosquito-borne disease. Of these, the highest number of deaths have occurred in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) area. A total of 189 people have died of the mosquito-borne disease in DSCC this year.
On the other hand, 76 people have died of dengue in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) from January 1 to November 21 this year. In addition, 48 people died of dengue in Barishal division, 45 in Chattogram division, 33 in Dhaka division, 23 in Khulna division, 13 in Mymensingh division, 6 in Rajshahi division, 2 in Rangpur division and 1 in Chattogram City Corporation area during this period.
