PSC Reduces BCS Application Fee and Viva Marks
Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has reduced the application fee and the viva marks for the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination.
This information was revealed in a letter signed by Dr Md Sanwar Jahan Bhuiyan, Secretary of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat, on Sunday (December 1).
According to the letter, the BCS viva marks have been reduced from 200 to 100. The application fee has been fixed at Tk350 instead of Tk700.
Earlier, the circular for the 47th BCS examination was published on Thursday (November 28) afternoon. There, the application fee was fixed at Tk700 as before.
The application fee for candidates belonging to ethnic minorities, disabled, and third-gender candidates is fixed at Tk100. However, a few hours later, the PSC announced the reduction in the application fee.
3,487 cadre and 201 non-cadre officers will be recruited through the recently published circular for the 47th BCS. Applications will start from 10 am on December 10 and will continue till 11:59 pm on December 31. This time, candidates between the minimum age of 21 and the maximum age of 32 can apply.
