BNP Wants to See a Stable Situation in Country Soon: Tarique Rahman
BNP's acting chairman Tarique Rahman stated that it is natural for a party like BNP to seek a fair election. To achieve that, everyone must play their role. Under the current circumstances, BNP wants to see stability in the country soon.
He stated this on Saturday (December 7), while virtually addressing a divisional workshop in Faridpur.
Tarique Rahman said that BNP's 31-point proposal is not final. If someone presents a better proposal, BNP is ready to accept it. If allowed to govern with public support, only then will the 31 points be implemented.
Addressing party leaders and activists, BNP's acting chairman remarked, "It is our responsibility to hold public trust."
He continued, "To retain public trust, you must adopt necessary strategies. We aspire to work for the nation with the support of the Bangladeshi people, enabling us to form a government backed by the populace."
"I need the cooperation of every leader and activist. People's trust must be earned. You have weathered many storms. Some among us are making mistakes, and they must be warned. In some cases, we need to be strict," he added.
Tarique Rahman further stated, "The absence of accountability has allowed Awami League leaders to launder billions of money. If there were accountability, such money laundering would not have been possible. As a political party, we aim to establish an environment of accountability in the country. Not just MPs and ministers, but everyone at municipal and union levels will also be accountable."
