Jatiya Oikya Prokriya led by Dr. Kamal Hossain and Jukta Front led by Dr. Badruddoza Chowdhury have placed different demands keeping ahead the next national parliament election. The organization has declared their 5 points demand and 9 points vision at the national press club on Saturday. Dr. Badruddoza Chowdhury was scheduled to present in the program but could not due to sudden illness.
The program was scheduled to hold at the central Shaheed Minar. As they were not permitted there then the program held at the national press club. There they declared their demands.
The 5 point demands are-
- Equal facilities for all in the upcoming national parliament election. Election time neutral government has to be formed through discussion with political parties by dissolving the parliament before declaring the election schedule. Responsible persons for election cannot be candidate.
- To ensure free, fair and impartial election freedom of individuals, newspapers, television channels, social media and for holding meeting-procession of political parties. Election Commission has to be reformed holding conversations.
- Withdrawal of false cases and release of the persons involved in quota reform and safety road movement including all political party activists. Arrest should not be made until the election is completed.
- Army has to be deployed with magistracy power for 40 days starting from 30 days earlier from the election day and 10 days after it. Deployment and controlling power should be given to Election Commission.
- The planning of using EVM has to be dropped out. RPO-1972 should be amended timely.
Jatiya Oikya Prokriya and Jukta Front have also informed about nine visions. What they will do if goes to power that is stated in the visions.
Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Dr. Jafrullah Chowdhury, BSD leader ASM Abdur Rob, convener of Nagorik Oikya Mahmudur Rahman Manna were present on the occasion.
