Commission Formed to Probe BDR Mutiny Incident

A commission has been formed to uncover the true causes behind the brutal and horrific killings at the then-BDR headquarters in Pilkhana, Dhaka, on February 25 and 26, 2009.

Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury revealed this information on Monday (December 23), at a medal distribution ceremony held at the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) headquarters in Pilkhana on the occasion of BGB Day,

He stated that a seven-member investigation commission has been formed regarding the BDR mutiny incident. The Chief Advisor signed the formation order on Sunday night (December 22).

During the event, the Home Affairs Advisor also mentioned that those involved in harassing freedom fighters in Comilla will be brought under the law.

Jahangir Alam further said, "Those who are harassing freedom fighters will certainly be brought under the law."
