The government has canceled the passports of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 96 others for alleged involvement in the July massacre. Additionally, the passports of 22 more individuals have been canceled for their involvement in abductions and killings.

On Tuesday evening (January 7), Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor, Abul Kalam Azad Mazumdar, disclosed this information at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.

In response to journalists' questions, he stated that the Indian government is aware of the matter and has issued travel documents accordingly. The passport office has informed them about the cancellation of the 75 passports, but they do not have detailed information on whose passports have been canceled.

Abul Kalam Azad also mentioned that legally, having multiple passports is not permitted. If a passport is canceled, it is specifically the diplomatic passport that is revoked.
