Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A M M Nasir Uddin announced that the upcoming national election will be held with the participation of all registered political parties in the country.

He made this statement at an event in Sylhet on Saturday morning (January 11).

The CEC mentioned that after the Reform Commission submits its report, the Election Commission (EC) will develop a new plan regarding the registration of political parties.

He also stated that the upcoming national election will not use Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). The EC is working to conduct the election according to the timeline set by the Chief Advisor. Everything will be done within a well-defined framework, and expatriates will be able to participate in this election.

Regarding local elections, A M M Nasir Uddin said he would not comment on the issue. While some have suggested holding all local elections on the same day, he emphasized that it is not feasible to conduct all elections in a single day.
