Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said, Dr. Kamal Hossain has taken the responsibility of rescuing BNP in the bad times. But nobody knows better than us about ability of Dr. Kamal.
He said these at the inaugural program of a fair titled ‘Showcase Korea’ at International Convention City Basundhara in the capital on Friday. Korea-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce is organizing the two day long fair.
The Commerce Minister said, nobody knows better than us about ability of Dr. Kamal. We will reach our target how many points of demands are given or how many meetings are held with foreign diplomats. The national parliament election will be held in the Election Commission declared time under this government.
Tofail Ahmed said, we had good luck to elect Dr. Kamal Hossain as an uncontested parliament member in the seat left by Bangabandhu. We had good luck to nominate him but he was defeated in 1986 and 1991.
He said, there are some righteous people who always tell about morals and now they are talking about bringing back democracy. Is democracy means August 21 grenade attack? Creating anarchy like 2013? Killing people by burning with petrol bombs?
The minister said, Election Commission will declare the date for election. It is their jurisdiction. The incumbent Prime Minister will be the head of election time government.
He also said, so the election will be held in the Election Commission declared date under this government led by the Prime Minister. They (Oikya Front) have given 7-point demand. These are contradictory to the constitution. Not a single point is acceptable. Election will be held in due time.
