Dhaka metropolitan detective branch police have arrested BNP national executive committee member Nipun Roy Chowdhury in connection with the clash in front of BNP office on Wednesday. But BNP assistant international affairs secretary singer Baby Naznin was released after detainment.
The duos were detained together from Nightingale intersection at Bijoy Nagar after 8 pm. Detective branch police joint commissioner Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the matter.
He said, three cases were filed with Paltan police station in connection with clash in front of BNP office on Wednesday. Nipun was arrested in connection with that case.
Nipun Roy Chowdhury in the daughter of BNP vice chairman Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury and daughter in law of BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Roy.
