Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmood said, it is the duty of Election Commission (EC) to conduct election. But ACC will observe the matter of black money expense during election.
He said these to the newsmen in a view exchange meeting on Thursday.
Iqbal Mahmood said, ACC believes that people of the country will not elect any black money or illegal resource owner by casting their votes.
He said, I hope that the candidates will submit their expenditure statement to the Election Commission within the stipulated time. ACC will follow the legal process if anything is found illegal while submitting wealth statement in the affidavit.
The ACC Chairman said, stern action will be taken against the owners of black money. No professional identity will be considered in this regard.
He said, hundred percent punishment for the ACC cases are ensured. The incumbent commission is successful in this regard. Our efforts to eradicate corruption are continuing.
