Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim said, I have ordered RAJUK for not dropping a single building. Even the houses of ministers or MPs or even those of my relatives will not be dropped. Laws have to be allowed to follow its own course.

The minister gave this warning while speaking at the ‘Meet the reporters’ program of Dhaka Reporters Unity on Friday.

The Housing Minister said, those who constructed buildings by not following the rules their buildings will be demolished. If they do not want to demolish then we will seal those buildings by terming illegal and out of order. We will not allow those buildings to use.

He said, after fire in Banani FR Tower 24 teams of RAJUK have found irregularities in one thousand 818 multi-storied buildings. Many owners of these buildings are influential and powerful in politics or wealth. They did not think that their names will be included. We are going to take action against these buildings.
