UN Secretary-General António Guterres has affirmed the United Nations' commitment to supporting Bangladesh in times of crisis.
Expressing satisfaction with the ongoing reforms, he emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen democracy and human rights.
During his visit to the new UN Common Premises in Dhaka on Saturday (March 15), Guterres made these remarks.
As part of his Bangladesh visit, the UN Secretary-General attended a photography exhibition marking the 50th anniversary and officially hoisted the UN flag.
Before the premises visit, he participated in a meeting with the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Bangladesh.
