The Chief Adviser of the Interim Government, Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, has convened a meeting with senior police officers to discuss the law and order situation in the country.
The meeting began at around 11:15 am on Monday (March 17) at the Chief Adviser's office in Tejgaon.
Earlier on Sunday (March 16), during a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital, the Deputy Press Secretary of the Chief Adviser, Abul Kalam Azad Majumdar, mentioned that there is growing public concern about the law and order situation. In response, the Chief Adviser scheduled a meeting with police officials from across the country on March 17.
He also noted that the meeting would include police officers from the rank of Superintendent and above, with 127 senior officials, including metropolitan commissioners, range DIGs, and members of crime teams, attending the special session. The IGP of Police, Baharul Alam, will deliver the welcome address.
