The Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh is scheduled to hold a high-level meeting with top foreign investors on Wednesday, April 9, at the State Guest House Jamuna. The announcement was made by Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), during a press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road, Dhaka.
Highlighting the government’s proactive stance on foreign investment, Mr Harun stated, "The Chief Adviser has shown strong personal interest in attracting investment. He has expressed his intention to hold one-on-one bilateral meetings with major investors arriving from China, Japan, and South Korea."
The meeting is part of a four-day international investment conference scheduled from April 7 to April 10. The event will see participation from more than 550 senior officials representing over 50 countries, including the host nation, Bangladesh.
As part of the conference, five investors—both local and international—will be recognized with awards for their contributions.
The conference will be broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube, and a dedicated media corner will be set up to facilitate interviews with foreign investors, according to the organizers.
