Chief Advisor of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has arrived in Qatar to attend the Earthna Summit.
His press secretary, Shafiqul Alam, confirmed that the aircraft carrying him reached Doha's Hamad International Airport at 9:40 PM local time on Monday (April 21).
In a post on his verified Facebook account, he stated that the Chief of Protocol of Qatar, Ambassador Ibrahim Fakhru, welcomed the Chief Advisor. Professor Yunus was accorded a red carpet reception there.
Earlier on Monday, at 7:00 PM, the Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus and his entourage left Dhaka for Doha, the capital of Qatar, on a Bangladesh Biman flight to attend the Earthna Summit 2025 from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, stated that Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus is on this visit at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
He further mentioned that there is a possibility of a meeting between the Chief Advisor and the Emir of Qatar alongside.
