Interim government's Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has instructed to maintain a stable security situation across the country, including the capital.
He gave this directive at a high-level meeting on the overall law and order situation in the country at the state guest house Jamuna on Tuesday (May 20).
The Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam confirmed this information.
The meeting, chaired by the Chief Adviser, was attended by Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Towhid Hossain, and National Security Adviser Dr. Khalilur Rahman.
Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hasan, and Air Force Chief Air Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, along with other senior officials, participated in the meeting.
The law and order situation in various parts of the country was reviewed during the meeting. Senior officials of the security forces presented reports on the matter.
