Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings for the holy Eid al-Adha to the people of Bangladesh and Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh's interim government.
In response, Dr. Muhammad Yunus also conveyed his good wishes to Narendra Modi and the people of India. This was announced by the Chief Adviser's Press Wing on Sunday (June 8).
On June 4, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a message conveying his heartfelt Eid al-Adha greetings to Bangladesh's Chief Adviser Dr. Yunus and the people of Bangladesh.
In his message, he stated that "this sacred festival reminds us of the eternal values of self-sacrifice, compassion, and brotherhood, which are essential for building a peaceful and inclusive world."
In the letter, Narendra Modi wished Dr. Yunus good health and well-being. In reply, Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus sent a letter to Narendra Modi on June 6, extending his greetings to Narendra Modi and the people of India.
Dr. Yunus wrote in the letter, "This message reflects the mutual values that exist between our two countries. Eid al-Adha brings the inspiration of self-realization, sacrifice, and unity, encouraging people worldwide to work together for the welfare of humanity."
He expressed hope that the relationship between the two countries would be further strengthened based on mutual respect and understanding, and that they would be able to advance together towards peace and progress in South Asia.
