2nd phase of upazila parishad polls on 21 May

The second phase of upazila parishad polls will be held on Tuesday (May 21). The voting will be held simultaneously in 157 upazilas across the country from 8am to 4pm.

Voting will be held through Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) in 24 upazilas.

The Election Commission (EC) Secretariat confirmed the matter on Monday (May 20).

The letter signed by Muhammad Sarwar Hossain, Assistant Director of National Identity Registration Wing said that the general polls of 157 upazila parishad will be held in the second phase on May 21. The polls to 24 upazila parishads will be held through Electronic Voting Machines (EVM).
