A delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is scheduled to meet with the National Consensus Commission today, following a meeting with the Chief Advisor regarding reforms.
The meeting will take place at 10:30 AM today, Thursday, April 17, at the LD Hall of the National Parliament Building.
BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed this information. He stated that a five-member delegation, led by Barrister Jamir Uddin Sarkar, a former Speaker and a member of the BNP Standing Committee, will participate in the meeting.
Regarding the meeting, BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said, "The process of state reform is ongoing. BNP has also been talking about reforms for a long time. This meeting with the National Consensus Commission is about that.
BNP has given specific opinions on reforming the constitution, the election system, public administration, the police, the Anti-Corruption Commission, and the judiciary. We have a meeting with the Consensus Commission today as well. We hope this meeting will be fruitful."
