On Tuesday (March 25) morning, the Senior Station Officer of the Khulna Fire Service and Civil Defense, Ariful Haque, confirmed that the fire had been fully extinguished.

Upon visiting the site, it was observed that personnel from the fire service, forest department, and volunteers were crossing the dry Bhola River to reach the affected area. Once there, they began searching for any remaining signs of fire or smoke.

Following this ground inspection, the Forest Department will deploy drones for a more detailed survey to ensure no hidden fire pockets remain. If no further fire is detected, the department will officially declare the fire extinguished.

Dhansagar Station Officer Bipuleshwar Roy stated, "We worked throughout the night, and now we are conducting a final inspection. After the morning high tide, we restarted pumping water around 9 am. So far, no fire has been found. We are hopeful that the fire has been completely put out, but we will confirm after the drone inspection."

Senior Station Officer Ariful Haque added, "We began spraying water as soon as the tide came in last night and continued until 3:30 am. Our night inspection showed no signs of fire. Our team remains in the forest for final monitoring, alongside the Forest Department. If no fire is detected, an official announcement will be made confirming that the fire has been fully extinguished."
