The government has reduced the price of edible oil. It will activate in the market within next few days.

On Sunday, june 11, Tapan Kanti Ghosh, senior secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, confirmed the matter.

He said, &quot;The price of packaged soybean oil has been reduced by 10 taka per litre. So the current price of Soybean oil is 189 taka. Palm oil price has been reduced by 2 taka and the current price&nbsp; palm oil is 133 taka per litre.&quot;

From fish-meat to vegetables, the price is not affordable. Common people are struggling to cope with the pressure of this increased price of daily commodities. Not only the lower class but also the middle class is struggling to make both ends meet.

Prices of rice increased due to various reasons

The price of coarse rice has increased from Tk 200 to 300 per bag of 50 kg in a span of 10 days due to various reasons including low supply in the market due to recent floods.

Fuel prices decreased

The interim government reduced the price of all types of fuel oil in the  market. This information was confirmed in a press release from the Ministry of power, energy and mineral resources.

Prices of Chicken-Vegetables decreased, Rice increased

After the fall of the government, the prices of several daily products including vegetables and chicken have decreased. Due to the continued market supervision of students, the prices of various products in the capital including Chattogram, Barishal, and Rajshahi have decreased by Tk 10 to Tk 20 per kg.
