Gold Prices in Bangladesh Reached an All-Time High

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has set new gold prices in the domestic market after another hike.

In a press release issued on Saturday night (February 1), BAJUS announced that the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) has been increased by Tk 2,099, making the new price of Tk 144,890, which is the highest in the country’s history.

Additionally, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori is set at Tk 138,300, 18-carat gold at Tk 118,541, and traditional gold (per bhori) is priced at 97,476 taka.

BAJUS further mentioned that the price of refined gold (pure gold) in the local market has increased. Considering the overall situation, the new gold prices have been set. These new prices will be effective from Sunday (February 2).

Previously, on January 29, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori was increased by Tk 1,365, setting it at Tk 142,791.
