The controversial content creator Hero Alom is looking for the rival of the 2023 by-election in the Dhaka-17 constituency, former Minister of State for Information Mohammad Ali Arafat. Being a candidate, miscreants beat him up on the street. Arafat won that seat as a candidate of the Awami League and became the state minister.

Alam claimed that those who attacked him that day were Mohammad Ali Arafat's men. He said, 'You have seen that I visited the polling station of Banani Bidyaniketan school and college of Dhaka-17. There, some people wanted to kill me on the orders of State Minister Arafat. Even the police on duty did not stand by me. Somehow I came back alive. I still haven't got that justice. Now I am looking for Arafat, if I find him I will file a case against him. He stole the seat I won.'
