Mumtaheena Chowdhury Toya was active on social media from the beginning of the anti-discrimination student movement. Not only on social media but also on the streets, she was seen in the movement. After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, the interim government took over.

Like everyone else, Toya is dreaming of a new Bangladesh. However, she thinks that freedom of speech is still not enforced. On Friday (August 16), she made a post about this on social media.

In her post, Toya said that there is a fight for freedom of speech, but it is still not being implemented. I did not protest by taking show off Online. I have been on the road for a long time. I'm not that big so I don't get that much coverage. I have said and am saying what is wrong. Toya also said, I said one thing before August 5th, I am still saying it.

It's our big mistake not to say anything for 16 years. I want to correct this mistake from today. Willing to learn and engage in constructive discussion and criticism.

Toya is currently away from acting in dramas. Waiting for movie or OTT.
