At least eight people have died, and 15 others have been injured in a devastating fire at a vegetable market in China.
The incident occurred on Saturday (January 4) at a vegetable market in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province in Northern China.
According to Reuters, citing China's state-run news agency CCTV, firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the blaze after an hour of effort. The injured are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Authorities have already launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
Notably, the market was inaugurated in 2011. It offers a wide range of products, including fruits, seafood, and even electronic items.
