On his inauguration day, newly appointed U.S. President Donald Trump issued multiple executive orders, including the declaration of a 'national emergency' at the U.S. southern border.

This information was reported by British news outlet BBC on Tuesday (January 20).

Before assuming office, Trump pledged to take immediate action to stop illegal entry into the U.S. He also threatened to deport the 'millions of criminals' who are in the U.S. illegally, sending them back to their countries of origin.

After taking the oath on stage at Washington’s Capitol One Arena, Trump returned to the Oval Office and signed several executive orders.

Among these orders was the declaration of a 'national emergency' at the southern border.

Another order pertains to the definition of birthright citizenship in America. While signing the executive orders, Trump described it as a ‘significant decision.’

Additionally, Trump announced the reinstatement of the "Remain in Mexico" policy, which will send more troops and personnel to the border areas.

On the same day, Trump canceled 78 executive orders issued during former President Joe Biden's administration.

Republican leader Donald Trump took the oath as the new President of the United States around 12 p.m. local time on Monday (January 20), marking the beginning of his second term in office.
