Isam Da'alis, the 'de facto prime minister' of Gaza in Palestine, has been killed, according to a report by Israeli news outlet The Times of Israel.
He was killed in a strike early Tuesday (March 18) morning, local time. Simultaneously, over 400 Palestinians were killed in a single day during this Israeli forces' attack on Gaza, violating the ceasefire.
The report stated that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced they had killed the 'de facto prime minister' of the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, along with several other senior officials of the group.
In a statement, the IDF said that as part of a broad operation, they carried out strikes on dozens of targets in the Gaza Strip since early Tuesday morning and 'targeted' and killed the four senior Hamas officials.
Earlier, Hamas also reported the death of Isam Da'alis, the head of the 'Governmental Activities Oversight Committee' (equivalent to a prime minister).
The deaths of Ahmed Al-Khatta, Director General of the group's Ministry of Justice, Mahmoud Abu Watfa, head of Gaza's Ministry of Interior, and Bahjat Abu Sultan, head of Hamas's internal security forces, were also reported.
Notably, Isam Da'alis succeeded Rouhi Mushtahar as the de facto prime minister of Hamas after he was killed by Israel in July 2024.
