Anadolu Agency reported this information in a report on Thursday, April 10.

The news agency reports that at least 40 more Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.

As a result, the total death toll in the territory from Israel's genocidal aggression since October 2023 has risen to 50,886, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health on Thursday.

According to a statement from the ministry, another 146 people injured in Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours have been taken to various hospitals in Gaza.

The number of injured since the beginning of the conflict has risen to 115,875. Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the streets, and rescuers have not been able to reach them.

After 15 months of military operations, Israel agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza on January 19, under pressure from the United States and the international community.

For about two months after that, there was more or less peace in Gaza. However, due to Hamas's disagreement over the issue of withdrawing troops from Gaza, Israel resumed airstrikes on Gaza from the third week of March.

According to the Ministry of Health, 1,522 Palestinians have been killed and more than 3,800 others have been injured in the renewed Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since March 18. This brutal Israeli attack has broken the ceasefire agreement that went into effect in January of this year.

According to the United Nations, about 85 percent of Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced due to Israel's brutal attacks. In addition, 60 percent of the besieged territory's infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.

Earlier, in November of last year, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant 1  for war crimes and crimes against humanity 2  in Gaza.

Israel is also facing genocide charges in the International Court of Justice for its aggression in the besieged territory.
