Kyiv has claimed that Russia launched a missile attack on an Indian pharmaceutical company warehouse located in Ukraine.
On Saturday (April 12), the Ukrainian embassy in India alleged that Russia "deliberately" targeted Indian businesses in Ukraine. This information was reported by NDTV.
In a statement, the Ukrainian embassy said, "Today, a Russian missile attacked the warehouse of the Indian pharmaceutical company 'Kusum Pharmaceuticals' in Ukraine.
Despite claiming a 'special friendship' with India, Moscow deliberately targeted Indian businesses. As a result, medicines produced for children and the elderly were destroyed."
Martin Harris, the British Ambassador to Ukraine, also accused Russia of the attack. In a post, he said that a large pharmaceutical warehouse in Kyiv was destroyed in the Russian attack. However, he stated that the attack was carried out by Russian drones, not missiles.
In an X post, he further said, "This morning, Russian drones completely destroyed a large pharmaceutical warehouse in Kyiv. The stock of essential medicines for the elderly and children stored there was burned. Russia's terrorist campaign against Ukrainian civilians continues."
Meanwhile, amidst the counter-attacks, discussions are also underway in diplomatic circles to end the war. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha clearly stated at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum on Saturday that the possibility of Ukraine's NATO membership cannot be ruled out in ceasefire talks.
In response to his statement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed that the attempt to include Ukraine in NATO was the root cause of the war. He praised US President Donald Trump for recognizing this mistake first.
On the other hand, the Trump administration has extended the old sanctions against Russia for another year. The White House stated that this step was taken for national security.
Earlier, Trump had warned Moscow that new sanctions could be imposed if they do not agree to a full ceasefire.
