Class-exam boycott for gazette on quota cancellation

The quota reform protesters will stage demonstration through boycotting the classes and examinations to press their demand of issuing gazette as per declaration of the Prime Minister.

Convener of Bangladesh General Students Rights Protection Council Hasan Al Mamun said, the program will continue from 11 am to 1 pm on Sunday.

The program was declared at a press conference organized at in front of Dhaka University central library on Saturday.

Earlier on Wednesday human chains were organized in the college and universities throughout the country demanding issuing of gazette regarding quota abolition.

Following the movement and demand for reformation of quota system in government recruitment process Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on April 11 declared quota abolition in the parliament.

The students are staging demonstration from February 17 to raise their demand of quota reformation. They have declared the fresh program as the gazette of quota cancellation or reformation is yet to publish.
