Cyclone ‘Fani’: BCS exams will not be deferred

The preliminary test of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations will begin at the prefixed time on Friday. The tests will be held from 10 am to 12 pm simultaneously at 165 centers in Dhaka and adjacent areas.

As there is no forecast of hitting by cyclone ‘Fani’ in this period, so the timing of the test will remain unchanged, said Public Service Commission (PSC) on Thursday.

PSC Chairman Dr. Mohammad Sadiq said, the schedule for 40th BCS preliminary test was declared earlier. This test will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Friday. So far we have completed our preparations.

He said, so far no news was gathered that the cyclone will hit during the ongoing examination. So there is no reason to defer the test or suspend it.

He also said, if any natural calamity or untoward situation is created then further decision will be taken based on the situation. If the situation remains normal then the preliminary test of 40th BCS will be held in the due time on Friday.
