BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has urged everyone to rise above narrow interests and work collectively for the greater good of the country and the nation.
Speaking virtually as the chief guest at BNP's extended meeting on Thursday (February 27) at 11 am, held at the field adjacent to the LD Hall of the National Parliament, she made this appeal.
Khaleda Zia stated that despite being in the United Kingdom for medical treatment, she remains committed to standing by the people. She emphasized that the nation should be built with love, not through revenge or hostility.
She noted that the country is currently going through a critical period. With the fall of the fascist government, it is now essential to implement necessary state reforms and ensure a fair and credible election to restore democratic governance.
The BNP Chairperson warned that anti-democratic forces are conspiring to undermine the achievements of the mass movement. She called for unwavering unity to thwart these conspiracies and urged everyone to prioritize national interests over personal or political differences.
She also paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the fight against fascism and the recent mass uprising, expressing condolences to the injured. Assuring her continuous support, she reaffirmed that despite her medical stay in the UK, she remains dedicated to the people’s cause.
