After the terrible defeat, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan said, "We have been poor with the bat all tournament and this is as bad as it gets."
The Netherlands won the toss in the match, and elected to bat first, scored 230.
In reply, Bangladesh tumbled for 142 in 42.2 overs, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz scoring the highest of 35 runs.
