Brazil announced Olympic team with a surprise

Brazil is not spending a good time on the football field. The five-time champions exited the tournament after losing to Uruguay in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Copa America. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced the team for the Paris Olympics within 24 hours of this loss.

On July 26, the world's largest Olympic tournament will be held in Paris, the capital of France. Ahead of this event, coach Arthur Elias announced a strong women's football team of 18 members in the main building of CBF on Sunday (July 7).

Brazil's women's football team has already started preparing for the Olympics. They are scheduled to practice till July 17. Elias has kept 4 footballers as reserves with the main team of 18 members.

If any footballer of the main team is injured, then the coach will give a chance to someone from among the reserve footballers. Apart from this, six more women footballers will practice with the team. They may be called up to the national team after the Olympics.

Brazil's Olympic squad: Lorena (goalkeeper), Taina (goalkeeper), Tarciane, Rafaelle, Thais Ferreira, Antonia, Tamires, Yasmim, Yaya, Duda Sampaio, Ana Vitoria, Gabi Portilho, Adriana, Caroline, Ludmila, Marta, Jennifer and Gabi Nunez.
