Although the ongoing women's Asia Cup did not start well, Bangladesh won in the next two matches of the group stage. Along with that, the Tigresses confirmed the semi-final ticket. However, Jyoti-Nahida could not give their best in the fight to reach the final. Losing to India by a big margin, their dream of playing the Asia Cup final has been shattered.

Batting first, Bangladesh set India a target of just 81 runs at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Friday (July 26). In response, India won with 54 balls and 10 wickets in hand. They reached the final after going undefeated in the tournament. And Bangladesh got two wins.

Indian openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana started batting to chase the target. India scored 46 runs without losing wicket.

On the other hand, Marufa-Nahida failed to give their best balling skills. Jahanara Alam couldn't do anything after returning to the team after a long time. So the Indians didn't have to face obstacles to reach the final.
