Shakib Al Hasan Fined Tk50,00,000

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) fined Bangladesh national team cricketer Shakib Al Hasan Tk50,00,000 for manipulating the share price.

The decision was taken at the BSEC 923rd Commission meeting held on Tuesday (September 24). BSEC has informed this in a press release.

It was informed that due to the manipulation of share transactions, the Securities Act was broken. Those who were fined are mentioned below:

Tk25,00,000 to Abul Khair
Tk50,00,000 to Shakib Al Hasan
Tk75,00,000 to Ishal Communication Limited
Tk1,00,000 to Monarch Mart
Tk10,00,000 to Abul Kalam Matbar
Tk1,00,000 to Lava Electrodes Industries Limited and
Tk1,00,000 to Md. Zaheed Kamal

All of them have been fined a total of Tk1,63,00,000 due to share manipulation of Paramount Insurance Company.
