Inter Miami took the lead in the first half against Atlanta United but ended up losing 2-1 after conceding two second-half goals, including the decisive goal in stoppage time.

On Sunday, November 3, in a Major League Soccer match, Inter Miami fell 2-1 to Atlanta United. Star player Lionel Messi couldn’t score or assist in the game; Miami's lone goal came from David Martinez. Derrick Williams and Xande Silva scored for Atlanta. This defeat marked Miami's first loss in about two and a half months and ten matches, with their last loss occurring in mid-August during the Leagues Cup.

At Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Messi had a chance to score in the 22nd minute. He passed to Diego Gomez on the left and moved into the box, but narrowly missed the target on the return pass. In the 40th minute, Atlanta conceded a goal due to an error. Goalkeeper Brad Guzan, surrounded by players, stumbled as he tried to take a shot, losing control of the ball, which Martinez then sent into the net over the heads of several players.

Miami went into halftime with the lead but conceded in the 58th minute. Williams equalized for Atlanta with a header from a long-distance cross. Shortly after, Miami had another chance but failed to regain the lead. Messi narrowly missed another scoring opportunity in the 69th minute. Miami missed several more chances, and instead of securing the win, they conceded in the fourth minute of added time. Xande Silva scored from an Alexey Miranchuk assist, sealing the victory for Atlanta.

Despite the loss, Miami remains at the top of the league table with 74 points from 34 matches. Columbus holds second place with 66 points, while Atlanta sits in 9th with 40 points.
