In a historic achievement, Project Altair earned a spot in the finals of the 2025 University Rover Challenge (URC) on its first attempt. Out of 114 teams from across the globe, only 36 teams have advanced to the finals, with Project Altair and its rover, Musafir 2.0, proudly representing the best.
The URC, held annually at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in Southern Utah, USA, is one of the world's most prestigious robotics competitions. It challenges student teams to design and develop advanced rovers capable of performing intricate tasks in simulated Martian environments.
