The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has indicated that storms with wind speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour are likely to sweep across 16 districts, including Dhaka.
This information was provided in a forecast issued for the country's inland river ports up to 1:00 PM on Tuesday (April 29).
The forecast states that temporary gusty or squally winds, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms, are expected to blow from the west or northwest at a speed of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Kushtia, Jashore, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram, 1 and Cox's Bazar.
River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number one.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast for the country up to this evening predicts that some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and one or two places in Khulna and Barishal divisions may experience rain with thunderstorms.
Additionally, the daytime temperature across the country is likely to remain unchanged, while the nighttime temperature may slightly decrease.
