The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and thunderstorms in eight divisions, including Dhaka.
According to the weather forecast for Sunday (February 23) morning, an extended westerly low-pressure system is currently over West Bengal and its surrounding areas. Additionally, the seasonal normal low-pressure system is over the South Bay of Bengal.
As a result, in the next 24 hours from 9:00 am on Sunday, scattered rain or thunderstorms may occur in one or two places across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
During this period, nighttime temperatures may drop slightly across the country, while daytime temperatures could decrease by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius.
Isolated rain or thunderstorms are expected in parts of the Rangpur division from 9:00 am on Monday for the following 24-hour period. Night temperatures may dip slightly, whereas daytime temperatures may rise marginally. Light to moderate fog may form in some areas from late night until early morning.
