Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon the world community to stop genocide in the Palestinian city of Gaza.

"Bangladesh has always stood against genocide. We should all help them. What is happening in Gaza, I think it is genocide. We never support such genocide," She said in an interview given to Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference 2024 on Saturday (February 17).
"The people of Palestine should have the rights to have their own state and that is clear," she added.

However, PM Hasina put emphasises on the necessity of Palestinian statehood and the implementation of UN resolutions.
