If everything goes well, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is likely to visit India in the last week of June and China and Brazil in July. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing for these three important foreign visits. All three countries have already extended invitations for the tour.

The future outline of bilateral cooperation is also decided in such visits.

Former Ambassador of Bangladesh to China, Munshi Faiz, said that the visit strengthened the relationship.

India tour

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit New Delhi after the general elections in India. However, the date of the visit has not been decided yet. India is the most important country for Bangladesh. India had political support and cooperation for Bangladesh during the War of Independence. Besides, as a big neighbor, the country has the ability to influence various issues of Bangladesh. Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra visited Dhaka last week and invited the Prime Minister. If everything goes well, the tour can be held in the last week of June. If that happens, Sheikh Hasina will be the first foreign guest of the new government in India.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to visit India in the last week of June - Regarding the news published by the Indian media, the foreign minister said that the Prime Minister will visit India after the national elections of that country. However, there has been no formal discussion between the two countries regarding when this visit will take place.

The relationship between Bangladesh and India depends on various factors including the war of independence, culture and interaction. In addition, larger geopolitics also affect that relationship.

China tour

If this happens, it will be the first full-fledged bilateral visit since 2014. The visit of the head of government may be for three days.

In this regard, the former ambassador of Bangladesh to China Munshi Faiz said, China is important for us for various reasons. The commercial relationship or develop cooperation with them is very high and that is important for Bangladesh.

On the balance between India and China, he said, it is not predetermined. It depends on national interest and changing circumstances.

Brazil tour

This is the first time that a top political leader of Bangladesh will visit Brazil on a bilateral visit. The visit is expected to play an important role in increasing trade relations and other cooperation.

Bangladesh was invited to the G20 summit held in India last year. This year the summit will be held in Brazil and there will be other events throughout the year. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been invited as a special guest in an event related to Knowledge Hub in July. One of those visits will be a formal bilateral visit from the day after the G-20 event.
