Feed price hike may impact on sacrifical animal prices
The price of all types of cattle feed has increased so the price of cattle is expected to increase this Eid ul-Adha. Analysts believe that the price of cattle may increase by 20 percent compared to last year.
According to the data, 1 crore 29 lakh 80 thousand 367 animals are ready for sacrifice this year. And the demand is 1 crore 7 lakh 2 thousand 394 animals. However, even if there are more animals than the demand, buyers may feel the heat of the price hike.
Farmers said the price of cattle fodder has increased by Tk 7-10 per kg in the last four months. At the same time, the cost of cattle treatment, gas and electricity, and operating expenses have also increased. As a result, the price of cattle will increase this year.
After talking to the owners of several farms in the capital, they said that the price of every cattle feed has increased in the last few months as well as the cost of medical treatment. The cost of running the farm has also increased due to the increase in the prices of essential commodities in the market. As a result, the price of cattle will increase this time.
Cattle feed shopkeepers said the price of cattle feed has increased recently. The price of wheat, bran and grain feed has increased by Tk 8 to Tk 10 per kg.
