MP Anar's body not recovered: Calcutta Police

Anwarul Azim, Member of Parliament of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency, has been allegedly murdered in an area of ​​Calcutta after he went missing for 8 days after going for medical treatment in the Indian state of West Bengal. However, Anar's body has not been recovered, said the Calcutta Police. The police also did not confirm whether he was killed or not.

A Calcutta Police spokesperson spoke to reporters after leaving Sanjiba Gardens in Newtown on Wednesday (May 22) afternoon.

The police spokesperson said, Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim came here for personal reasons. Since then he disappeared. On the 18th, a missing diary was filed in the Barahnagar police station by one of his acquaintances, Gopal Biswas. Based on that we started investigation.
