Viral young man of goat incident, not the son of NBR official
A young man named Ifat went viral after buying a goat for 15 lakh taka from Sadeeq Agro in the capital for sacrifice in Eid-ul-Azha. It is rumored that he is the son of National Board of Revenue official Motiur Rahman. But this government official has clarified that this young man who went viral is not his son. He is not even related to that young man.
When asked, Motiur Rahman told the media, 'I don't know that boy who went viral in the goat incident. He is not my child. It is very embarrassing to involve my name.
Mohammad Imran Hossain, the leader of the 'Sadeeq Agro' farm located in Mohammadpur, said that the young man booked the goat giving only one lakh Tk. But in the end he did not paid the full amount and still not take the goat home from the farm.
Recently, the video of this goat worth 15 lakh taka spread on social media. It shows a boy holding the goat. Imran Hossain is standing next to him.
The gray brown goat, weighs 175 kilograms and is 62 inches tall. Sadeeq Agro bought it from a market in Jessore for Tk 1 million 35 thousand about two months ago. Criticism started after the young man shared a picture with this goat on Facebook. A question arose as to how a revenue officer's son could buy a goat at such a high price.
This criticism started before Eid. But even though the boy deposited the booking money to buy the goat for sacrifice, in the end he did not take the goat from the farm. Even the booking money was not refunded.
In this regard, the owner of Sadeeq Agro. Imran said, a buyer named Ifat bought this from us for 12 lakh taka. We asked the price of 15 lakhs. He did not come to take Khasiti even paid a booking money of one lakh taka. We are trying to contact him since June 11 night but we have not been able to contact him so far. We are still trying to contact him. But he is not picking up the phone.
Why this goat costs lakhs of taka?
The price of the goat, which is the subject of so much discussion, is the largest breed of goat in the world, said Mohammad Imran Hossain, owner of Sadeeq Agro. He said, the name of this breed is 'Beetal' and it is the biggest goat ever in Bangladesh.
Mr. Hossain said, there is only one goat of this rare species in Bangladesh. When asked if it was imported or not, Imran Hossain said that the goat was purchased from a market in Jessore two months ago.
How did this goat come to Jessore market? In this context, he said, we do not know that. However, such goats and big cows are sold in the village market in the early stage. After buying them from the market, we rear them and sell them.
'When information comes to us, we immediately send people and buy it. Because we like the goat very much.
Imran Hossain claimed that the purchase price of this goat was Tk 10 lakh 35 thousand. There are more costs included to it.
That is why its price was fixed at 15 lakh Tk. Another reason for the high price of goats is the superior breed and pedigree.
When asked about the issue of pedigree here, Imran Hossain said that the certificate is shown to the buyer at the time of sale in the case of goats or cows of good pedigree.
