ACC sues Rajuk director, his wife over amassing  illegal assets

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed two cases against Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) Director (Development and Control-II) Mobarak Hossain and his wife Sahana Parvin on charges of amassing illegal wealth worth Tk2 crore.

ACC integrated district office Dhaka-1 Assistant Director Asif Al Mahmud filed the case with its on Wednesday. A senior ACC official confirmed the matter.

According to the case statement, Mobarak Hossain, director (Development Control-2), has found evidence of wealth acquisition inconsistent with the source of income of Tk 41,46,845.

In another case, Shahana Parvin was made the main accused and Mobarak Hossain was made the second accused for amassing illegal wealth. According to the case statement, Shahana Parvin is a housewife by profession, but there is evidence of amassing wealth worth Tk 1.58 crore.

The ACC thinks that Shahana Parvin made this wealth with her husband's illegal money. According to the agency, Rajuk Director Mobarak Hossain created wealth in the name of his wife to hide his illegal wealth.
